The New Balance 940 Running Shoe for Men is designed to help moderate to severe overpronators. This high-stability trainer provides maximum cushioning and features NB's Stabilicore medial posting that provides an extremely smooth transition from heel to toe-off. Take on the miles ahead supported by the 940.

  • Rubber compound for maximum durability in high-wear areas
  • The N-ERGY cartridge is able to provide enhanced supportive cushioning mainly due to its asymmetrical three-chamber design. A clearly defined heel cleft offers greater flexibility, the lateral (outer) chamber provides cushioning, and a medial (inner) chamber provides extra pronation control and foot stability. This medial chamber is reinforced with a cushion made of Dupont's Hytrel compound. The remainder of the cartridge is made of durable thermoplastic urethane.
  • The innovative STABILITY WEB provides torsional stability while reducing the weight of the shoe. The STABILITY WEB technology is positioned under the arch and provides midfoot support but still allows flexibility in the forefoot, which can help encourage a natural running gait.
